Research & partnerships

Scientific collaborations

Research at the heart of our innovation approach.

From its very beginnings, GERME S.A. has maintained close ties with academia and research organisations — first and foremost the CNRS — to turn scientific advances into concrete solutions for industry.

Our collaborations

Research partnerships, past and present.

Ongoing · since 2020

Laboratory of Bioenergetics and Protein Engineering (BIP – CNRS)

As a socio-economic partner, GERME S.A. supports a PhD thesis on the bacterial oxidation of arsenic and sulphur, aiming to develop effective biological treatments for polluted water. Work carried out by Giulia D’Ermo, co-supervised by Barbara Schoepp-Cothenet and Marianne Guiral.

Past · 2006 – 2016

EIPL–GERME S.A. Cooperative Laboratory

A joint structure with the CNRS Laboratory of Interfacial Enzymology and Lipolysis Physiology (EIPL), dedicated to the study of lipolysis: enzymatic activities, lipid analysis and quantification, in vitro simulation of gastrointestinal digestion, method development and validation.

Past · since 2006

Institut Carnot LISA

Joint research on lipases within a shared laboratory — a partnership that strengthened our expertise in lipolytic enzymes.
